1.0 INTRODUCTION

Fendolite is a non-combustible, high density cementitious material designed for application by the slurry (wet mix) type of spray machine. It was developed primarily for the fire protection of exterior steelwork in refineries, petrochemical and chemical plants. It is equally suitable for use in interior situations where its resistance to mechanical damage and its durability are of good value.

Fendolite is premixed in the factory under controlled conditions to ensure an even distribution of the mix components.

Fendolite M-II is specifically designed for spray application but if a smooth finish is required the spray applied material can be trowelled using conventional plastering tools (7.3.8). Fendolite TG is for hand trowel application (7.4).

2.0 STORAGE

Fendolite must be kept dry until ready for use. It should be stored off the ground, under cover and away from damp surfaces or areas of very high humidity. Storage temperatures are not critical as long as dry conditions are maintained.

It can be stored for up to one year from the date of shipment under good dry conditions. Each consignment should be completely used up before the following consignment is started.
